The Indian equity indices extended gains for the second straight session on April 22 following positive global cues as worries over Iran-Israel tensions eased a bit. At close, the Sensex was up 560.29 points, or 0.77 percent, at 73,648.62, and the Nifty was up 189.40 points, or 0.86 percent, at 22,336.40. Market started gap-up and remained rangebound with positive bias throughout the session and closed near the day’s high on buying across sectors.

  • 9 out of 10 individual traders in equity Futures and Options Segment, incurred net losses.
  • On an average, loss makers registered net trading loss close to ₹ 50,000.
